Trump to Address Americans on Iran Conflict as Fighting Enters Second Month

Karoline Leavitt has announced that Donald Trump will address the nation on Wednesday night to provide an update on the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

Leavitt disclosed the planned broadcast in a post on X on Tuesday, stating that the president would speak at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time as tensions in the region continue into a second month.

The conflict, involving the United States and Israel against Iran, has drawn growing domestic scrutiny, with recent opinion polls indicating rising public disapproval of the fighting.

Reports indicate that the U.S. administration has been considering the possible deployment of American troops into Iranian territory to secure highly enriched uranium stockpiles. The operation, if approved, would likely involve elite special operations forces and could expose personnel to risks from Iranian short-range missiles and drone attacks.

On Tuesday, the U.S. military reportedly carried out strikes on an Iranian city hosting one of the country’s key nuclear facilities. The Isfahan Nuclear Energy Center had earlier been targeted in previous strikes involving U.S. B-2 bombers and a submarine, according to reports.

The planned presidential address is expected to clarify Washington’s next steps as the conflict continues to raise regional security concerns and global attention.
