Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically killed during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. MDT during his “American Comeback Tour” event, which drew approximately 3,000 attendees.
Eyewitness video captured the moment Kirk was shot in the neck while seated under a tent, prompting immediate evacuation and widespread panic.
Authorities have described the attack as a targeted political assassination. The suspected sniper fired from the rooftop of a nearby campus building and escaped. Investigators subsequently recovered a high-powered .30-06 bolt-action rifle and other forensic evidence at a nearby location
The FBI and state law enforcement are jointly leading a manhunt. A reward of up to $100,000 has been offered for information leading to the shooter’s capture. Authorities have received thousands of leads and processed extensive forensic data.
