Prominent Nigerians and financial experts are set to grace the Realnews 13th Anniversary Lecture Series slated for Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Themed “Cybersecurity, Illicit Financial Flows and Achieving Agenda 2063 in Africa,” the event promises robust discussions on Africa’s digital resilience, financial transparency, and economic sustainability in the face of rising cyber threats.
According to a statement signed by the Publisher and Editor of Realnews Magazine, Maureen Chigbo, three eminent professionals will headline the panel session following the main lecture. They include Lasbery Chioma Oludimu (LLM, MCIArb, ACIS), Vice President of Global Operations and Managing Director, Yellow Card Financial Inc.; Dr. Favour Femi-Oyewole, Group Chief Information Security Officer, Access Bank Plc; and Mr. Abdul Rahman M. Mustapha, Chief Operating Officer, Intelligence and Security Services Support Sector, Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
Oludimu, an accomplished legal and fintech executive, currently manages Yellow Card’s operations in 20 African countries. With a rich background in blockchain, digital assets, and financial regulation, she brings deep insight into how technology can combat illicit financial flows. A graduate of Madonna University and the University of Lagos, Oludimu is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and has been recognised among the Top 50 Women Leaders in Financial Services 2024.
Described as a trailblazer in cybersecurity, Dr. Favour Femi-Oyewole is renowned for her groundbreaking leadership at Access Bank and her contributions to national cyber policy. With degrees from leading global institutions including Harvard, MIT, and Oxford, she holds the distinction of being the first African woman to be a Blockchain Certified Professional. She also served as Vice-Chair of the Global C|CISO Scheme Committee and was a key member of Nigeria’s Cybercrime Advisory Council. Her 25-year career spans cybersecurity, data protection, and enterprise risk management, making her one of Africa’s most respected tech leaders.
Also on the panel is Abdul Rahman M. Mustapha, a strategic intelligence and financial policy expert at NFIU. Known for his work in counter-terrorism financing and inter-agency coordination, Rahman has played key roles in shaping Nigeria’s compliance with anti-money laundering standards. His initiatives include supporting the Multi-Agency Anti-Kidnap Fusion Cell and developing frameworks for intelligence fusion between financial and defence sectors. His academic background covers mathematics, forensic psychology, and criminal investigations, with a master’s in criminal psychology.
Former Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Ayotunde Phillips, will chair the 13th Anniversary Lecture and moderate the discussion session. The keynote speaker and guest speaker are expected to be announced shortly.
