Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has questioned the whereabouts of President Bola Tinubu during his recent foreign trips.
In a post on his social media page, Ibe noted that Tinubu left Abuja on May 3 for visits to France, Kenya and Rwanda.
According to him, the presidency announced on May 5 that the president had met with global investors.
Ibe said Tinubu later resurfaced in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 11 for the Africa Forward Summit.
“The obvious question: what happened in the six days in between? Official engagements, private leisure, or a medical stop?” he queried.
The Atiku aide said Nigerians deserved accountability from the presidency, especially amid economic and security challenges facing the country.
“At a time of worsening insecurity and economic pain, Nigerians cannot afford an absentee President. Accountability is not optional,” he stated.
