Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its approach to education, saying the government has taken steps to reduce strikes and improve support for students.
In a report by CHANNELS TV on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Seyi Law highlighted measures aimed at keeping university programmes on schedule, noting that the current administration has worked to ensure four‑year courses actually run for four years. He pointed out that recent disruptions to academic calendars have been brief, with one of the shortest nationwide strikes lasting only nine days.
Seyi Law also drew attention to student support initiatives, saying the government has expanded access to loans and stipends. He said nearly one million students have benefited from loan schemes and that many are receiving a monthly stipend of ₦20,000, measures he believes help ease the financial burden on young Nigerians pursuing higher education.
He said,
“Today, students benefit from loans, with almost one million already benefiting and receiving a ₦20,000 monthly stipend.”
