Veteran actor and Deputy Director-General of the “Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria” (RTIFN), Zack Orji, says President Bola Tinubu has made enough funds available at all levels of government to take care of Nigerians.
Orji stated this in Abuja on Friday during the inauguration of the FCT chapter of the group, where he cited the President’s fiscal reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda as evidence.
According to him, the reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy, the creation of regional development commissions with N150 billion take-off grants, and the Supreme Court-backed financial autonomy for local governments, have significantly increased allocations to sub-nationals.
“The President has made sure there are enough funds at every level to take care of the people. State allocations have increased significantly up to 500 per cent in some instances. Reforms are painful, but in two years, Nigerians will see the full results,” Orji said.
He urged citizens to hold their state governors and local government chairmen accountable for resource utilisation, noting that President Tinubu was “God-sent” to reverse decades of economic and infrastructural decay.
Earlier, the newly inaugurated FCT Coordinator of the group, Comrade Donald Amagbo, said the performance of the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has made it easy for President Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates to win in the nation’s capital in 2027.
Amagbo, who spoke with journalists after the inauguration in Wuse 2, commended Wike for the infrastructural turnaround in the FCT, citing road networks, streetlights and urban renewal projects, including the facelift of the City Gate.
“His performance in the FCT has given us a scorecard with which to campaign for the President’s second term in office. Residents will surely identify with the good road networks with streetlights and drainage. That is the kind of fixing we are talking about,” he said.
He pledged to mobilise residents across the six area councils of the FCT, AMAC, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali, Abaji and Bwari to break the jinx of ruling parties losing in the Territory.
In his remarks, the Director-General of the group, Ahmed Bala, charged members to take the President’s achievements to the grassroots with humility and compassion.
“Our job is to go around the 36 states, engaging the youth and grassroots to explain the achievements of Mr. President. He inherited a battered economy, and four years is not enough to fix everything. The policies are tough, but like surgery on an injury, this is the necessary first step to a better Nigeria,” Bala said.
Also speaking, the group’s National Director for Town Hall and Public Engagement, Deborah Farida Ibrahim, and the National Spokesman (North), Dr. Hamza Abubakar Haruna, reiterated the need for continuity, stressing that complex economic restructuring requires sustained leadership beyond a single term.
