During an interview on Mic on Podcast, former SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo commented on the leadership style of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, drawing a distinction between political skill and governance performance.
Adebayo acknowledged Tinubu’s reputation as a strong political strategist but argued that this strength has not translated into effective governance. According to him, the president’s political abilities should not distract Nigerians from evaluating the administration’s performance in managing the affairs of the country.
According to him, “The president is good at politics. He has A1 in politics but is hiding the F9 he has in governance. And I’m focusing on the F9 he has in governance. There are some areas of government that President Tinubu doesn’t have F9 for; he has an absence, not even showing up. So those are the areas I want Nigerians to focus on, but he’s entitled to his politics of survival. He’s entitled to make friends.”
He explained that while political maneuvering and alliance-building are common in democratic systems, citizens should pay closer attention to policy implementation and the effectiveness of government programs.See_More…
