Tinubu declares state of emergency over Nigeria’s security training facilities

‎Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared a state of emergency over the nation’s security training facilities.

‎This comes after Donald Trump threatened military action against Nigeria over  Christian massacre, in a recent post on Truth social.

In his post, he directed the US Department of Defense to prepare for a potential strike.

‎As reported by the Daily Post on November 4, 2025, the announcement specifically addresses the training institutions of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other security agencies.

‎The development was confirmed by Enugu state Governor Peter Mbah, who heads the National Economic Council (NEC) ad-hoc committee tasked with revamping security training institutions.

‎He made the disclosure during an on-site inspection in Lagos state.

Tinubu Reacts To Trump’s Threat

President Bola Tinubu has responded to US President Donald Trump’s threat of military action against Nigeria, emphasizing the country’s sovereignty and commitment to protecting all citizens regardless of faith.

In a statement released on his X handle, (formerly Twitter), Tinubu stated that Nigeria “stands firmly as a democracy governed by constitutional guarantees of religious liberty” and expressed willingness to work with the US and international community to promote understanding and cooperation on protecting communities of all faiths.
