Tinubu Becomes Fubara’s ‘New Master’ — Aisha Yesufu

Sociopolitical activist Aisha Yesufu has weighed in on the resolution of the political crisis in Rivers State, declaring that Governor Siminalayi Fubara is now under the control of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The crisis, which pitched Fubara against Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, saw Tinubu suspend the governor six months ago and impose emergency rule in the state while appointing a sole administrator.

NAIJAONPOINT gathered that, Tinubu reinstated Fubara and lifted the emergency rule after both the governor and Wike publicly declared their rift resolved. Fubara also met the president behind closed doors in Abuja.

Reacting in a post on X, Yesufu wrote: “Wike handed his hold over Rivers State directly to Tinubu! Fubara got a new Master.”
