“This your pattern is not new” – Lawyer drags Ned Nwoko, challenges his story about Regina Daniels

A Nigerian lawyer, Barrister Adefunke Treasure, has stirred reactions online after openly calling out Senator Ned Nwoko over his recent claim about his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the Nigerian Senate, had accused Regina of drug abuse following her shocking revelation that she suffered domestic violence in their marriage.

But Adefunke, in her Facebook post, said she didn’t agree with the senator’s side of the story, insisting that his version followed a familiar “pattern” seen in similar controversies involving influential men.

“This Pattern Is Not New!” – Lawyer Speaks Out

The lawyer and activist said Ned Nwoko’s statements were inconsistent and didn’t add up.

In her words:

“This pattern Oga Senator is using is not new! So I disagree! Regina Daniels couldn’t possibly be a drug addict… she may be doing a bit of weed sometimes and it’s common with Gen Z people within her age bracket.”

She went on to question the senator’s credibility, accusing him of contradicting himself with each new statement.

Five Tough Questions for Ned Nwoko

In her post, Barrister Adefunke Treasure listed a series of tough questions for the senator, challenging him to clarify his claims. She wrote:

“How’s beating up someone on drugs the antidote for her to stop drug abuse? A girl you married a virgin? Innocent virgin ooo.”
“Oga Ned, what went wrong when she was in your house? Did you marry her a drug addict? You kept shooting yourself in the leg with your inconsistent statements.”

She added that no responsible man should resort to violence or intimidation, no matter the issue in his marriage.

Condemnation of Alleged Violence

Adefunke also condemned the alleged assault on the actress, questioning why a man accused of such abuse could still be appearing publicly.

“How can a man send thugs to beat his wife? How can someone accused of abuse still campaign publicly?”

According to her, such behavior sends the wrong message, especially when the man involved holds a public office.

Ending her post, the lawyer urged women not to trade their peace of mind for wealth or social status.

“When did money become a reason to stay in violence? Women will never agree that peace of mind is better than cars, trips, and luxury. Choose a man for how he treats you, not for what he owns.”
