“This Is One Of The Sermons I Preached Several Years Ago When There Was Fear In The Land- Adeboye

In a recent video on YouTube, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has reflected on one of his longstanding sermon themes, emphasizing faith and calm in times of uncertainty.

Speaking during a recent message, Adeboye revisited a biblical account that has shaped several of his teachings over the years. Quoting from scripture, he said, “What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”—a reference that underscores divine authority over nature and life’s challenges.

Adeboye explained that the message has deep personal and spiritual significance, noting that it was one of the sermons he first delivered during a period marked by widespread fear. “This is one of the sermons I first preached several years ago, when there was fear in the land,” he said, recalling the context in which the message initially resonated with his audience.

The sermon, often titled “Peace Be Still,” has since become a recurring theme in his ministry. According to Adeboye, he has returned to the same passage multiple times, each with a fresh perspective suited to the moment. “Since then, of course, I’ve preached several sermons on the same topic from the same text, but each time from a different perspective,” he stated.

Despite the variations in delivery, the cleric stressed that the central message has remained unchanged over the years. “In all the various perspectives, there is one point that I’ve mentioned again and again,” he added, suggesting a consistent spiritual lesson at the heart of his teachings.
