“There will be a reduction of hunger this year, Japa will reverse” – Pastor E.A Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has released his prophecies for 2026, sparking renewed hope among many Nigerians.

In a viral video circulating on social media, Pastor E. A. Adeboye said hunger in Nigeria will reduce, and the long-running “japa” trend will begin to reverse, with Nigerians who left the country in search of greener pastures starting to return home.

The prophecy addresses two major challenges currently facing the nation, food hardship and mass migration.

He said 2026 would mark a turning point, as economic pressure begins to ease and living conditions gradually improve.

Pastor Adeboye also declared that Nigerians abroad would find renewed reasons to return, suggesting an improvement in opportunities, stability, and overall national outlook within the country.

For many Nigerians, the message feels timely, especially amid rising food prices and the increasing number of citizens leaving the country each year in search of better opportunities.

The prophecy has since generated widespread reactions online. One commentator wrote, “If hunger reduces, that alone is an answered prayer.” Another added, “May this prophecy come to pass for our sake.”

Whether viewed as prophecy, faith, or national hope, Pastor Adeboye’s words have resonated with Nigerians both at home and abroad.
