The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr Daniel Olukoya, has drawn attention to what he described as the existence of “two categories of thieves” affecting human destiny – those in the physical world and those in the spiritual realm.
Speaking in a recent sermon shared via YouTube, Dr Olukoya anchored his message on John 10:10, which states: “The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” He described the passage as a clear revelation of spiritual realities behind human experiences.
According to him, while physical thieves are responsible for the loss of tangible possessions such as money, property, or important documents, there exists a more dangerous dimension of theft that operates beyond human sight.
“A wicked thief may physically steal your money,” he said during the sermon, “but a more wicked thief will steal your salvation.” He further explained that spiritual theft can extend beyond material losses to include attacks on marriage, destiny, and purpose.
Dr Olukoya emphasized that some individuals are not only experiencing losses but are also being prevented from ever accessing their blessings in the first place. He noted that such cases represent a deeper level of spiritual manipulation, where people are denied opportunities that could lead to greatness.
“There are people who were never even allowed to access their possession,” he said, stressing that spiritual interference can hinder progress even before success is achieved.
The cleric also expressed concern for individuals whose destinies, according to his teaching, may be under attack by unseen forces working against their progress.
He used the occasion to lead prayers, asking for divine intervention against anything that might be “planted in a person’s life” to steal their greatness or block their future. “I command that thing to die now in the name of Jesus,” he declared during the sermon.
