The Son of a Former Sitting VP Abandoned His Father to Join APC for Tinubu to Continue—Oshiomhole

In a video posted by TVC, Senator Adams Oshiomhole spoke at a rally organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to welcome defecting members from opposition parties, where he made remarks about a recent high-profile political shift.

Speaking at the event, Oshiomhole referenced the recent defection of a prominent political figure widely understood to be Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a serial presidential aspirant.

According to him, “You heard, not too long ago, that the son of a former vice president who is always a presidential aspirant, sometimes a candidate, sometimes an aspirant, but he’s never neutral, and he has never won. The son of a former sitting vice president, a founding father of PDP, abandoned his father and joined APC so that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can continue the good work he has started.”

The remarks were made as the APC intensified efforts to consolidate its political base ahead of future electoral contests, with party leaders portraying recent defections as endorsements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Oshiomhole framed the development as evidence that even close relatives of leading opposition figures were aligning with the ruling party’s agenda.See_More…
