Prince Adewole Adebayo has explained why he strongly disagrees with the leadership style of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying his opposition is based on principles rather than personal feelings.
Speaking during an interview on Mic On Podcast, Adebayo said his criticism of the current administration comes from the president’s actions, decisions, and political beliefs. According to him, these actions are not in the best interest of ordinary Nigerians who have struggled with poor governance for many years.
He also made it clear that his position does not only apply to the current government. Adebayo said he cannot work with some politicians who now appear in the opposition but previously held power and governed in similar ways. Among those he mentioned were Abubakar Malami, Nasir El-Rufai, and David Mark.
Adebayo argued that many members of Nigeria’s political establishment behave the same way when they are in power. In his view, some politicians only criticize the government because they are not part of it, not because they truly disagree with its policies or values.
He said his political movement wants to represent Nigerians who have felt ignored and marginalized for decades. Because of this, he believes it would be wrong to form alliances with leaders who, once given power again, might continue the same style of governance the public is complaining about.
In his words, “There is a reason why I’m opposed to President Tinubu. It’s not because of his name, it’s because of his deeds and his belief systems and his actions.”See_More…
