A sense of unease and rising concern has settled over residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, after a truck loaded with dozens of young men, motorcycles, and cows arrived from Northern Nigeria.
The incident, captured in a video has triggered discussions among locals who fear the development could pose a security risk to the city.
The truck, which was sighted around the busy Dugbe area, appeared heavily packed with young men sitting closely together, several motorcycles tied to the sides, and cows arranged at the rear.
As the vehicle made its way into the city, residents were seen in the video alerting one another, expressing shock at the unusual sight and sharing concerns about what the arrival could mean for public safety.
Growing Public Anxiety
Many residents say the current security climate across the country makes such a development unsettling.
Some noted that recent reports of violent attacks and rising criminal activity have heightened their fears, especially when large groups arrive without clear explanation.
Community members could be heard urging caution, while others suggested that authorities should immediately investigate the purpose of the movement.
Several residents have also called for increased patrols and stronger security presence to prevent any possible breakdown of order.
