“Stop it” – Frustrated mother cautions daughter over constant “I’m hungry” comments with men

A frustrated mother has sparked conversations online after cautioning her daughter over what she described as a bad habit that could drive men away.

In a now-viral clip shared on TikTok by a user identified, the mother was heard advising her daughter to stop telling men she is hungry anytime they start talking to her.

According to her, constantly asking for food or money at the early stage of a conversation sends the wrong message and scares potential suitors off.

The mother questioned why her daughter would complain about being hungry to a man she has not even visited or properly gotten to know.

She stressed that such behaviour gives the impression that the daughter is only interested in what she can gain, rather than building a genuine connection.

She further warned that repeatedly telling men “I am hungry” or “I have not eaten” can come across as poor attitude and desperation, adding that it could make men lose interest quickly.

In her words, she noted that men are also human and get hungry too, but society does not expect them to constantly announce it.

The video has since generated mixed reactions on social media, while some users agreed with the mother’s advice, saying it was a much-needed reality check, others argued that expressing hunger should not be a big deal.
