Sophia Momodu, the babymama of Afrobeat superstar, Davido, has once again addressed fans who continue to link her to the singer, despite her repeatedly stating that she has moved on.
During a recent live session, Sophia recounted how a content creator spotted her, got excited, and shouted, “Mama Imade, OBO’s wife.” According to Sophia, the incident made her uncomfortable.

“The guy that was doing content saw me and then he got really excited and shouted ‘Mama Imade, OBO’s wife.’ I said, where? I was like, where? I didn’t see oo. It’s the wrong person, guys, the wrong female,” she explained.
Sophia stressed that such labels should stop, urging people to respect boundaries and personal choices.

“Let’s not do that. Let’s respect people’s boundaries, let’s respect people’s rules. If people have moved on, allow them to move on. Everyone is at peace,” she added.
Her comments have sparked conversations online about respect, boundaries, and identity, especially for women who are constantly defined by their past relationships.
Many reactions followed. One commentator wrote, “People should let this woman be, allow her live her life.” Another said, “This looks like the opposite; you’re indirectly saying you miss him.”
Davido, meanwhile, is married to his longtime lover, Chioma Rowland, and the couple have twins together.
Sophia Momodu’s message is simple and firm — she wants peace, respect, and the freedom to exist without being tied to a past relationship.
