One half of the well-known OAP and comedy duo Still Ringing has shared how he discovered that his long-time partner relocated to Canada without any prior notice.
He spoke about the shocking moment during a recent interview, saying the truth only emerged while he was on air.
Listeners kept calling the radio station and asking, “Where is Coach now? Where is your interpreter?”
He said he tried to calm the situation by telling them his partner was on the way before quickly switching to a commercial break.
How the Truth Came Out
He explained that he used the break to call his partner and inform him that fans were asking questions.
He expected a simple update, but the response stunned him. His partner said, “Let me not lie, I’m currently in Canada.”
At first, he thought it was a joke. However, after pressing further, he realised the relocation was real and had already happened.
He said the discovery left him hurt because they lived in the same compound and worked closely every day.
“He Should Have Told Me”
The entertainer said the situation was disappointing and unexpected. “If he wanted to leave, he should have informed me,” he said.
“You can’t leave me hanging like this. I have a wife and children, and this is how we survive.”
He described the moment as painful, adding that proper communication would have made the entire experience easier to accept.
