Speed Darlington fires back at former manager; says he needs a house help, not a manager

Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has responded to his former manager following their public fallout over alleged unpaid salaries and claims of mistreatment.

In a video circulating online, the rapper appeared to dismiss the need for a manager, claiming he preferred someone who would serve him rather than share in his earnings.

“Why I no go use you? You need to be used. You’re very useless, if not a fraud. I’m sure you can’t afford to buy a car. You used your own hand to make yourself my manager. Me wey dey look for who go serve me. What I want is someone that will be answering me ‘Sir’ from morning till night.

“Wetin I wan do with manager? So my money go finish sharp sharp abi? I don’t need a manager because I don’t want anybody to eat my money. What I need is a house help.”

His response comes amid allegations by his former manager, Goskey, who accused him of owing him three years’ salary, mistreating him and creating a toxic working environment.

Goskey had also claimed that Speed Darlington received ₦30 million for his boxing match against Carter Efe but paid him only a fraction of the amount. Reports surrounding the dispute have cited different figures for the payment, with the latest description putting it at ₦250,000.
