Sokoto State Graduate Recruitment Begins September 22

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu

The Sokoto State Government has announced that its graduate recruitment exercise will run from Monday, September 22, to October 6, 2025. The initiative aims to provide employment opportunities for qualified indigenes across the state’s 23 local government areas.

According to Gandi Muhammad, Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, applicants can collect forms free of charge from their local governments and complete the application online at https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng. Candidates are required to register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, provide biodata, and upload documents including educational certificates, proof of indigene status, birth certificate, and National Identification Number.

Applicants will also need to upload a recent photograph and are warned against multiple submissions, which could lead to disqualification. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or the official portal, and any further screening will be communicated officially.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu approved the recruitment as part of a plan to hire 3,000 new workers into the state civil service, targeting young unemployed graduates with NCE, HND, or degree qualifications. The exercise is free of charge, and residents are advised not to pay anyone for registration.
