‎Details About D’Angelo’s Demise

‎TMZ reports that D’Angelo’s former manager, Kedar Massenberg and sources close to the family have confirmed that the singer passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

‎Meanwhile, heartfelt tributes and condolences are pouring in from fans and industry colleagues over his passing.

Notably, D’Angelo was born Michael Eugene Archer on February 11, 1974.

He came to the spotlight in the mid-1990s with his debut album “Brown Sugar,” which gained him critical acclaim and commercial success.

He won Grammy Awards for his work on ‘Voodoo’ and “Black Messiah’,  showcasing his innovative approach to R&B and soul music.

It would be recalled that he made headlines on May 23, 2025, when he announced his cancellation of the Roots Picnic performance due to an “unforeseen medical delay” related to a past surgery.

He leaves behind his studios, Electric Lady Studios in New York City, where he worked on many of his iconic projects, including “Voodoo” and “Black Messiah”.

He worked with various artists, including Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, and Raphael Saadiq

His music has inspired generations, including Anderson .Paak, Daniel Caesar, H.E.R., Frank Ocean, and Kendrick Lamar.
