The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has invited members of the Council of State and the Police Council to a high-level strategic meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs Office, Dr. Emanso Okop Umobong, the meeting will focus on critical national matters, with particular attention on security and policing.
According to the release, the Council of State meeting will hold at 1:00 p.m., while the Police Council session is slated for 2:00 p.m., both at the Council Chambers, Aso Villa, Abuja. Members are expected to attend either physically or virtually.
The statement emphasized that the gathering reflects President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed commitment to strengthening national institutions and ensuring the safety and security of Nigerians.
