President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, has denied claims that he donated N20 million to Nollywood actress Sarah Martins’ Golden Heart Foundation.
In a statement shared via his Instagram Story on Friday, Seyi clarified that although some of his friends raised funds to assist a woman recently penalised for violating Lagos environmental laws, he personally made no such contribution.

Seyi Tinubu explains why she was helped
He stressed that while the donors acted out of compassion, he does not support any action that contravenes the laws of Lagos State.
“Their intention, I believe, was to help her secure a proper space to run her business, not to undermine the law. I appreciate their kindness and concern.
“Lagos thrives on order, and Nigeria’s strength depends on our collective respect for both our law and order. Empathy and patriotism must always go together,” Seyi stated.
Sarah Martins’ experience
The clarification comes after Sarah Martins announced that she had received ₦20 million from Seyi Tinubu to aid her charity organisation.
Martins had earlier alleged that she was harassed by officials of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps while cooking for charity on a street median in Lekki, Lagos.
