Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, as he joined others for the South-West Governors Forum meeting held in the city.
According to a statement signed by Gboyega Akosile, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Governor Sanwo-Olu arrived at 12:50pm. He was received by the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal.
Chaired by Governor Sanwo-Olu, the meeting was hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, in his Office, at Agodi, Ibadan on Monday.
The meeting, convened by the South West Governors’ Forum, aims to tackle pressing issues affecting the region, including agriculture, regional cooperation and integration, food security, economic growth, and security of lives and property.
The meeting focused on strengthening security measures to protect lives and property in the South West, as well as exploring opportunities for collaboration and investment to drive economic growth and development in the region.
The meeting, which started at 2:15pm was attended by Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Ademola Adeleke (Osun), who was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi.
The South-West Governors Forum meeting was a follow-up to a similar gathering held in Lagos on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
