The Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON) has extended warm felicitations to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued in Lagos on Monday, SDNON praised the First Lady’s dedication to national service and humanitarian causes.
“We celebrate a mother of the nation whose life of service, compassion, and dedication to the upliftment of women and youths continues to inspire hope across the country,” SDNON said in their statement.
The digital media association highlighted Senator Tinubu’s various initiatives and her consistent support for humanitarian causes, describing her as “a shining example of leadership, resilience, and patriotism.”
The statement emphasised the First Lady’s commitment to national development, particularly her focus on empowering marginalised communities.
“Her Excellency has consistently demonstrated an uncommon commitment to national development and the empowerment of the less privileged. We celebrate her today and pray for her continued good health, wisdom, and strength as she supports the President in nation-building,” SDNON stated.
The association used the occasion to reaffirm its own commitment to responsible journalism and national development.
“SDNON further reaffirmed its commitment to constructive media engagement and to amplifying voices that promote national unity, progress, and development,” the organisation noted.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who previously served as a Senator representing Lagos Central, has been actively involved in various social and humanitarian initiatives since assuming the role of First Lady following her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration in May 2023.
The birthday felicitation reflects the media organisation’s recognition of the First Lady’s continued efforts in championing causes related to women’s empowerment, youth development, and social welfare across Nigeria.
