Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has captured attention once again, this time for a positive reason.
Days after her arrest in Lagos for cooking on a public road, the actress was spotted in Canada, where she was seen sharing food with homeless people.
In a new video circulating online, Sarah was captured on the streets of Ottawa, distributing over 150 packs of food to people in need.
The gesture, which came shortly after her controversial incident in Nigeria, has sparked mixed reactions among fans and followers.
From Lagos street drama to Canadian kindness
Sharing clips of the outreach on her Instagram page, the actress expressed joy over the experience.
She revealed that the meals were prepared in collaboration with Suyaroyale and Ricci Products, noting that the effort was part of her desire to spread kindness beyond borders.
Her caption read: “From going grocery shopping, to cooking with the CEO of suyaroyale under the supervision of ricci_products representatives, to sharing the sumptuous, well-spiced 150 packs of food with homeless people on the streets of Ottawa.”
The actress, who faced criticism back home for her roadside cooking stunt, seemed unbothered as she smiled and interacted warmly with recipients of the food.
Fans react to her transformation
Social media users quickly flooded the comment section with reactions, some praising her compassion, while others drew comparisons between her actions in Nigeria and abroad.
One user wrote, “They humiliated her for showing kindness at home, now she’s being celebrated abroad for the same act.” Another joked, “Why she no cook for street for Canada like she did in Lagos?”
Despite the divided opinions, many acknowledged the effort as a sign of maturity and growth.
