Photos have emerged of a prominent pastor and his wife who were brutally killed at their Nakuru residence in a shocking case that left residents of Rongai in Nakuru County in fear and grief.
The victims were identified as Pastor Kihiti and his wife Wanjiku, who lived alone at their home.
Wanjiku’s body was found in the living room while Kihiti’s body was found in the bedroom.
Detectives have cracked a four-month case involving murders of elderly residents in Nakuru, Rongai sub-county, uncovering a chilling murder-for-hire plot rooted in land disputes.
The arrest of three suspects linked with the deaths has brought relief to a community that had been living in fear since the targeted killings began last year.
The first suspect was arrested on March 27 and later led detectives to the other two suspects who were arrested on March 30 within Rongai.
The suspects told detectives that the killings were linked to a land dispute and that they had been hired by another person who is still in hiding.
Post mortem results showed the couple died from severe head injuries, confirming the attack was very violent.
Residents are now calling for justice as police continue with investigations.
