Reno Omokri: I saw humility, not luxury, in Dangote

Former presidential aide and social commentator, Reno Omokri, has praised Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, describing him as a symbol of humility and purpose-driven living.

In a post shared on social media, Omokri recounted his recent stay with the billionaire in Lagos, saying he was struck by Dangote’s modesty despite his immense fortune.

I never saw him in designer clothes or a wristwatch. From head to toe, no gold or silver. Instead of celebrity, I saw piety,” Omokri wrote, noting that Dangote’s quiet lifestyle reflects deep discipline and self-control.

Dangote’s respect for time impresses Omokri

Omokri said one of the most remarkable traits he observed was Dangote’s respect for time and commitment to productivity.

He explained that the industrialist spends each day meeting people who share his goal of improving Nigeria’s economy and reducing poverty. “He packs so much value into his time. He doesn’t waste your time or his,” Omokri noted.

According to him, Dangote’s ability to combine vision with action remains the secret behind his global success and enduring relevance.

“Africa beeds more men like Dangote,” Omokri declares

Concluding his remarks, Omokri said his encounter with Dangote taught him that the billionaire’s rise was not driven by luxury but by ideas, goals, and humility.

He has gotten ahead by letting ideas and goals permeate his heart, while being careful not to let wealth get to his head,” Omokri stated.

He prayed that Africa would be blessed with more men like Aliko Dangote, men who embody discipline, humility, and a passion for development.
