Reactions Trail Sani’s Comment After Dachomo Said He’s Been Offered Asylum But He Won’t Go Anywhere

Several reactions have trailed the comment that was made by one of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani after popular Nigerian pastor, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo said he won’t leave Nigeria.

The reaction of Senator Shehu Sani was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

In the report that was published by DAILY POST, the clergyman stated that he has been offered asylum in many countries but he will stand by his people in Nigeria.

Here is what he said;

“I can’t be afraid of them. They should be afraid of me. I’ve been offered asylum in Australia, Austria and other countries but I said no. I’m going nowhere. I stand with them”.

However, Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a statement that he made on his official X handle, he said some of the comments that Ezekiel Dachomo made were provocative and inflammatory.

Here is what Shehu Sani wrote on his official X handle;

“Everyone is entitled to defend, promote and project his beliefs or faith but not to defame that of others”.
