The Special Adviser to Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina on Political Matters, Alhaji Ya’u Gwajo-Gwajo, says even opposition parties have acknowledged the governor’s achievements within the last two years.
Gwajo-Gwajo disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Katsina, while felicitating with the people of the state on the 38th anniversary of the state’s creation.
“The governor has achieved so much within just two years that even the opposition parties have acknowledged the sense of direction in his leadership at the moment.
“We have received many politicians who defected from various opposition parties, they want to be part of the success story,” he said.
According to Gwajo-Gwajo, the state is in good hands under the stewardship of Gov. Radda who is providing quality leadership with honesty and utmost dedication.
“On this occasion of the 38th anniversary of the state, I heartily congratulate the people of Katsina, the state has come a long way and achieved great heights.
“The state attained the peak of its development under the Radda’s leadership, who has laid a solid foundation for its sustainable social-economic and political development.
“During his campaign, he met with the people of various wards across the state, and he came up with a development roadmap in each sector.
“Since he became governor, he has been implementing this multi-sectoral blueprint with much success,” Gwajo-Gwajo noted.
According to him, in less than two years, Radda has constructed about 70 kilometer roads across rural/urban centres, street lights, as well as drainages, culverts and other erosion controlled projects.
“He has also dualised many roads within Katsina metropolis under the ongoing Urban Renewal Projects which are also being implemented in Funtua and Daura.
“Radda also employed 7,200 teachers to boost manpower in the education sector, and this is the largest teacher recruitment in the history of Katsina State,” he said.
Gwajo-Gwajo also revealed that the administration had also renovated 722 primary healthcare centres/dispensaries, Doctors’ quarters across the 361 wards, and upgraded some comprehensive health centres in the state.
“He has also trained 722 agric extension workers, distributed tractors, sprayers, harvesters, farming implements and procured 20,000 metric tons of fertilisers in the 2025 wet season farming to boost agriculture.
“He also distributed 56,000 goats with feeds and other logistics to encourage livestock production and support the livestock value chain.
“Radda has also encouraged Islamic discipline and morality in the state by creating the Hizba Board, and is promoting economic prosperity through the establishment of the Zakkat and Waqf Board,” he said.
While calling on all and sundry to continue to support and pray for the state and the present administration, Gwajo-Gwajo wished them many more fruitful years of statehood. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
