President Tinubu visits Imo State

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Imo State on Tuesday for a one-day working visit, landing at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, at 12:52 p.m.

The trip was designed to highlight key developmental partnerships between the federal and state governments.

Federal-state collaboration in action

During the visit, Tinubu will commission several projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma, including the 60-kilometre dual carriage Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia Federal Road, the Assumpta Flyover, and the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre.

These initiatives reflect the APC’s broader commitment to infrastructure renewal and sustainable development, aiming to improve transport, business, and social amenities in the state.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, noted that the visit will provide an opportunity to showcase successful federal-state collaboration as a model for other regions.

Celebrating governance and progressive policies

The President is also scheduled to attended the public launch of Governor Uzodinma’s book, “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria”, which chronicles the APC’s governance achievements over the past ten years.

The book details policies and projects that will improved infrastructure, education, and public services, highlighting how strategic collaboration between the federal and state governments can drive growth.

Other facilities that will be commissioned during the visit included the Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel and the state-of-the-art Imo Digital Learning Centre, underscoring the administration’s focus on modernisation and innovation.

Tinubu’s engagement signals a continued emphasis on sustainable development and demonstrates the APC’s commitment to leaving a legacy of progress that can be replicated nationwide.
