The police on Friday arraigned two persons: Umaru Aliyu, 23 and Danjuma Sodiq, 22, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan for allegedly stealing motorcycle valued N650,000.
The duo whose addresses were not provided, were charged with conspiracy and theft, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Elisha Tellang told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Oct. 21, at about 5.30 a.m, at Ashi, Bodija area of Ibadan.
Tellang alleged that the defendants conspired and stole a Qlink lady motorcycle worth N650,000 and belonging to one Mayokun Owoyemi.
He said the offence contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N200,000 each and two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Nov.18, for hearing. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
