Pastor Reveals: ‘Wike Came To Me In Tears; I Prayed, Gave Millions, Was Sole Pastor At Thanksgiving’

According to a video posted on X by Punch Newspaper on Monday, March 09, 2026, A prominent cleric has shared a personal account of his interaction with former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike following a high‑profile legal battle, revealing a moment of consolation and financial support that preceded a major celebration.

According to the pastor, Wike visited him in an emotional state after losing a case in court. The clergyman said he offered comfort and spiritual reassurance, promising to pray earnestly on Wike’s behalf. “After Wike lost his case in the court, he came to me in tears,” the pastor said. “I told him not to worry and that I would pray to God on his behalf.”

The pastor explained that he encouraged Wike to maintain faith despite the initial ruling. “I said even if the judgment at the Supreme Court was meant to go against him, God could turn it around in his favour,” he said, highlighting his belief in divine intervention.

In addition to spiritual support, the pastor said he provided financial assistance to Wike during a difficult period. “I also gave out millions of naira on his behalf,” he stated, indicating the extent of the support offered while the legal process unfolded.

The relationship between the pastor and the political figure was further highlighted when Wike later organised a thanksgiving event to celebrate a successful outcome. The cleric noted that he was the only pastor invited to the ceremony, a gesture he described as significant. “When he later held a thanksgiving after winning, I was the only pastor he invited,” he said.

The pastor’s account has drawn attention to the personal dynamics behind public political disputes, illustrating how faith leaders and political actors sometimes intersect during pivotal moments.See_More…
