A man has claimed that Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre, a church allegedly owned by Nigerian cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, has been shut down in Toronto, Canada.
This comes amid the drama between the pastor and the Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala who laid heavy allegations against him.
Man claims Pastor Chris Okafor’s church shut down
In a video circulating online, the man alleged that the ministry has been formally dissolved and is no longer legally recognised to operate in Canada.
He further claimed that, based on this development, one of the pastors associated with the church, identified as Bashiru Igbanor, also known as Pastor David Igbanor, should no longer remain in the country.
Man claims pastor’s permit now dysfunctional
According to the speaker, the pastor’s work permit was allegedly tied to the now-dissolved ministry, and he called on Canadian immigration authorities to take action. He also stated that the cleric should return to Nigeria to continue his religious activities there.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from Pastor Chris Okafor, the church, or Canadian authorities confirming or denying the claims.
His word in part …
“We will not allow any fake church to operate. I wish to tell you that Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre which is owned by Chris Okafor operating here in Toronto Canada has been dissolved. By law they are no longer existing here in Canada. With this, we are calling on the immigration, that Mr Bashiru Igbanor now known as Pastor David Igbanor has to leave the country because the work permit he’s having with him was based on this ministry that has been dissolved. This means that he can no longer stay in this country. He should go back to Nigeria with his miracle. Let he go back and start performing his miracles over their in Nigeria, not here in Canada.”
