Pastor Adeboye announces global prayer for unmarried youths, waiting mothers

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has announced a global prayer session dedicated to singles, waiting mothers, and families trusting God for marital and fruitfulness breakthroughs.

According to a statement from Pastor Oladele Balogun, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration, Adeboye said the prayer meeting was prompted by divine inspiration.

Reason for the special prayer

The session aims to address the growing number of unmarried adults and expectant families within and beyond Nigeria.

Population data, he noted, shows that singles and mature singles now make up over 40 per cent of the adult population in Nigeria.

Adeboye described them as a “vibrant but waiting generation” seeking divine intervention in marriage and family life.

Special Focus on Families in Waiting

The revered cleric also acknowledged the struggles of waiting and expectant mothers across the world.

He said millions continue to believe God for the fruit of the womb, calling it a “deeply spiritual and emotional journey” that requires prayer, faith, and patience.

With the church’s presence in more than 190 nations, Adeboye added that these groups represent a significant part of RCCG’s global community, united by hope and perseverance.

Global Invitation to Join

The special prayer will be held during the church’s November 2025 Thanksgiving Service at the RCCG National Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, at 8:00 a.m.

Adeboye encouraged those living near Lagos to attend in person, while urging global participants to join virtually for what he described as “a life-changing encounter with God.”
