Panic as unexploded bomb found in Kwara hours after military strike in Northwest Nigeria

‎Panic ensued as an unexploded bomb was discovered in Kwara State, Nigeria, hours after US military strike.

‎As previously reported by GistReel, The United States launched a strike against Islamic State militants in northwest Nigeria.

‎ President Donald Trump announced the strike in a post on Truth Social stating it targeted ISIS terrorists who had been killing Christians in the region.

In his post, Trump stated that the strike was carried out under his direction as Commander in Chief.

‎He emphasized that his administration is committed to fighting radical Islamic terrorism, claiming that militants have been targeting and killing Christians in Nigeria for years

‎Unexploded Bomb Discovered In Kwara State Hours After US Military Strike

‎According to a report from Leadership News, unexploded bombs were discovered in Offa Local Government Area following explosions that damaged several buildings on Friday, December 26, 2025.

‎Leadership News reports that the affected buildings were located in the Yidi area of Offa.

Prior to the US airstrike in northwest Nigeria, Donald Trump issued a warning to ISIS terrorists.

It’s worth noting that Trump had been vocal about the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, designating the country as a “Country of Particular Concern” under the International Religious Freedom Act in November 2025.

He also threatened to stop US aid and potentially intervene militarily, stating that  he would go into Nigeria “guns-a-blazing” if required.
