Pan Ocean Oil appoints Soyannwo as independent non-executive director

Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited and the Newcross Group of Companies have announced the appointment of Remilekun Soyannwo as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board.

This appointment marks another critical step in the organisation’s journey towards strengthening leadership and governance. It underscores the Group’s commitment to embedding global standards of transparency, accountability, and independent oversight across its operations.

Soyannwo brings over three decades of Finance and Leadership experience, spanning the Energy, Corporate Finance, Portfolio and Investment Management disciplines.

She has served in various capacities, including as Chief Executive Officer of the Shell Pension Fund, Finance Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) and Principal Mergers and Acquisitions, leading financial operations, management and governance for Shell Nigeria’s premier deep-water operations as well as financial strategy delivery across Shell’s Sub-Saharan African business. With a successful career and significant roles at Shell, BP Plc UK, Chevron Nigeria Ltd, she brings valuable experience in international best practice in the Oil & Gas as well as the Financial services Industry.

Soyannwo is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Cranfield University (UK) as well as a Diploma in Corporate Governance and Leadership from the Financial Times (UK). She is a member of the Institute of Directors in both Nigeria and the UK.
