Pain as Woman Arrives Home, Asks Daughter for Pen and Paper, Writes Farewell Note & Commits Suicide

Police in Limuru are investigating the death of a woman who reportedly took her own life at her home under unclear circumstances.

Reports show the woman returned home late in the evening appearing intoxicated. She asked her 12-year-old daughter for a pen and paper and wrote down the mobile numbers of her husband and sister.

She also wrote a short message expressing her love for them before retreating to her bedroom where she hanged herself using a rope tied to the roof truss.

Moments later, her daughter found her and desperately tried to save her by cutting the rope with a kitchen knife. Sadly, her efforts came too late.

Police moved the body to the local mortuary as investigations into the motive behind the suicide continue.

Authorities noted that the case reflects a troubling rise in suicide incidents in the country. It also underscores the urgent need for intervention programs that can reach households before tragedy strikes.See_More…
