Oyo State to distribute free tickets for Davido’s Ibadan concert

The Oyo State Government has announced it will distribute thousands of free tickets to young residents to attend Davido’s upcoming ‘5ive Tour’ concert in Ibadan on November 9, 2025.

The initiative aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s push to support youth empowerment and the state’s creative industry.

Tickets will be handed out starting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, located within the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Ibadan. Staff will manage the process to ensure order and fairness.

Concert details in Ibadan

The Ibadan show is part of Davido’s Nigerian leg of the 5ive Tour, which started in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on October 26, moved to Yola, Adamawa, on October 29, and Enugu on November 1. Lagos will host the final Nigerian stop on December 25.

The concert in Ibadan is being organised in partnership with the Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development.

The collaboration aims to encourage youth participation and showcase the state’s support for local entertainment and cultural events.

Davido described the Nigerian leg of his tour as “special” and expressed excitement about performing in his home country following his North American tour.

Public guidance and tour schedule

The Oyo State Government emphasised that ticket allocation will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Ibadan concert represents part of Davido’s broader North American and European tour, with an upcoming African leg.
