The Osun Assembly on Monday passed the Multi-Door Court House Bill, aimed at creating a judicial system and courtrooms for alternative dispute resolution in the state.
The bill entitled, “Osun Multi-Door Court House Bill 2025,” was sponsored on Oct. 28, 2024 by Mr Simeon Popoola, a lawmaker representing Boripe/Boluwaduro constituency.
It was passed after a motion for its third reading was moved by Mr Babajide Kofoworola, the Majority Leader of the Assembly.
Similarly, the Osun Road Traffic and Vehicle Inspection Services Bill 2025 was also passed after its third reading.
The two bills were passed after the House Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, Justice, Public Petitions, and Legal Matters, and the Committee on Public Works and Transport submitted their reports.
Mr Adewale Egbedun, the Speaker of the Assembly, said the bills would help speed up justice delivery in the state and ease vehicular movement across roads.
Egbedun added that the clean copies of the bills would be sent to Gov. Ademola Adeleke for his assent, and any adjustments or corrections to the bills would be done administratively.(NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
