‎Orodata Science, in partnership with the Africa Data Hub (ADH), has launched the PHC Innovation Hackathon, a national initiative designed to harness data-driven innovation to improve Primary Healthcare (PHC) service delivery across Nigeria.

‎The initiative, announced in Lagos, aims to mobilize data scientists, developers, and public health professionals to create actionable digital solutions addressing systemic challenges such as poor infrastructure visibility, inefficient resource allocation, and limited access to care.

‎According to the organisers, participants will have access to a rich PHC data repository covering areas like infrastructure, service delivery, welfare, inclusivity, and telecommunication mapping.

‎“This hackathon is about empowering innovators to turn data into solutions that strengthen our health system and reach underserved communities,” said a statement from Orodata Science.

‎The process will include the submission of innovative ideas before 6th November, 2025, followed by the selection of the top five entries to pitch at the Hybrid Hackathon Demo Day on 8th November, 2025, at The COLOSSUS, Ikeja, Lagos.

‎A total prize pool of ₦1,000,000 has been set aside for winners, with ₦500,000 for the first prize, ₦300,000 for second place, and ₦200,000 for third place.

‎The organisers noted that the hackathon would not only reward innovation but also contribute to building sustainable, data-powered tools capable of improving access to primary healthcare for millions of Nigerians.
