One palm wine tapper killed as kidnappers reject N10k ransom in Delta-Edo forests

A search-and-rescue mission led by activist Harrison Gwamnishu has uncovered the grim fate of two palm wine tappers abducted in Emuhu, near Agbor in Delta State, with one of the victims confirmed dead after his family attempted to negotiate with the kidnappers using the only money they could raise, N10,000.

Gwamnishu, who coordinated the operation, said multiple security units swung into action, including personnel from the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Emuhu Vigilante Group, Anti-Cult Abavo, Operation Soup, and police teams.
