Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has launched ten new Digital Learning Centres across the country to promote youth empowerment through technology and education.

The centres, commissioned virtually from the State House in Abuja, are located in Abia, Delta, Edo, Kano, Katsina, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ondo, Yobe, and Zamfara States.

According to a statement posted on X by the Presidency on Wednesday, the initiative is part of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) and aims to equip young Nigerians with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a digital economy.

Senator Tinubu said the project, implemented in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), goes beyond providing computers and internet access. She described it as a strategic investment in “nurturing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among Nigeria’s youth.”

“The Renewed Hope Initiative is ensuring that no community is left behind in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey,” she said. “We are building an inclusive, knowledge-based economy where every child, regardless of background, can access quality digital learning opportunities.”

She noted that the programme aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s development agenda and the Federal Government’s broader efforts to promote technological literacy and bridge the gap between education and employability.

It will be recalled that on October 10, 2025, Senator Tinubu highlighted her husband’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for young Nigerians to harness their creativity and talents. She also urged the youth to embrace hard work, unity, and compassion as they contribute to national growth.

The First Lady said the Renewed Hope Initiative’s Digital Learning Project reflects the administration’s vision for inclusive growth and human capital development, particularly in underserved areas.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that empower students and communities to participate meaningfully in the digital age.
