An old video of Nigerian politician and businessman, Ned Nwoko, explaining how he met and married Nollywood actress Regina Daniels within just three weeks has resurfaced online, sparking mixed reactions amid the ongoing marital drama.
The Video Resurfaces Amid Controversy
The video, which is currently making rounds on social media, was originally recorded during a 2020 BBC interview.
In it, Ned Nwoko proudly shared how he met the young actress and married her within a short period.
This old clip has gone viral again, following recent reports that the union between the 64-year-old senator and his 25-year-old wife facing crisis in their marriage.

In the trending interview, Ned Nwoko stated that his decision to marry Regina quickly was intentional, as he believes love should grow after marriage, not before it.
“We married within three weeks. I don’t believe in dating anybody to marry them. When you marry them, you need to fall in love from within the marriage,” he said.
He further described their relationship as one built on understanding and respect, rooted in the traditional values he was raised with.
How They Met
Ned revealed that his first meeting with Regina happened when she visited his home in Delta State with her mother and siblings.
According to him, he had never heard of her or watched any of her movies before that encounter.
Shortly after their meeting, he decided to marry her.
A Polygamous Tradition
The Delta North senator also mentioned in the interview that all his marriages happened quickly and that he doesn’t rule out the possibility of marrying more wives.
“Whether I marry another wife or not, she knows it can happen. I come from a very polygamous background. I love children, so I want more,” he said.
Ongoing Marital Drama
The resurfaced video comes at a time when social media is buzzing with reports of a rift between the couple.
Regina recently accused Nwoko of physical assault, while he fired back, alleging that she was addicted to drugs and had damaged his property under the influence.
The once-admired union, which began in 2019 when Regina was just 19 and Nwoko was 59, now appears to be facing serious marital challenges.
As of now, neither party has made any further public comments.
