Ogun Unveils AI-Driven Digital Learning System

The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has launched a new official website and an artificial intelligence-enabled learning management system aimed at strengthening teaching and learning across public schools in the state.

The website, accessible at moest.ogunstate.gov.ng, was unveiled alongside the AI-powered Ogun Learning Enhancement and Academic Resource Network (OgunLEARN), which features digital, curriculum-aligned lesson notes for teachers.

Speaking at the launch on Thursday, the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, said the initiatives were designed to improve efficiency, transparency and service delivery within the education sector.

Arigbabu explained that the new website would serve as a central hub for information on the ministry’s policies, programmes and projects, while also providing access to key digital tools deployed by the ministry.

He described OgunLEARN as a state-backed digital learning environment developed to complement classroom teaching by giving educators access to lesson notes for all subjects, classes and terms.

According to him, the platform allows teachers to create and assign quizzes, track student performance and receive data-driven feedback to support personalised learning.

Arigbabu said the AI-powered digital lesson notes would ease the burden of manual lesson preparation, provide timely insights into students’ progress and enable teachers to devote more time to supporting learners.

“These tools—the website, OgunLEARN and DiPER—reflect a ministry that is becoming more open, more data-driven and more focused on practical support for teaching and learning,” he said.

He encouraged educators to begin exploring the platform as it is rolled out to schools in the coming days, adding that the goal is to build a digital-first education system centred on learners.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, praised the initiative, noting that OgunLEARN was designed to streamline routine tasks, improve productivity and allow teachers to focus more on effective instruction.
