Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, was on Monday, January 12, 2026, arraigned at the Federal High Court in Ota over multiple criminal allegations, including assault, theft, and resisting arrest.
The nine-count charge followed a complaint by his estranged partner, Ashabi Simple.
According to Ogun State Police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the singer is accused of assaulting Ashabi and several other individuals at his bar in Iyana Ilogbo on New Year’s Day.

Portable is also alleged to have attacked a female police inspector, Ogungbe Olayemi, while she was performing her official duties.
The case also names Ileyemi Damilola as a victim, alleging that Portable stole her Mercedes-Benz E300, valued at ₦12 million and purchased from Wally Dex Auto.
During the hearing, Portable’s bail application was denied. The presiding judge cited the absence of Inspector Ogungbe Olayemi in court and insisted that her presence was necessary before any bail consideration.
Portable has been remanded in custody, with a fresh bail hearing scheduled for January 19, 2026.
Separately, Ogun State Police confirmed that an investigation has been launched into a viral video showing Portable allegedly being mistreated while in custody.
