The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, November 6, 2025, as the official date for the passing-out ceremony of 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members.
In a statement on Monday, NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said the management approved a low-key event to mark the completion of the service year. The batch began its orientation course on October 23 and concluded on November 12, 2024.
According to the statement, preparatory activities for the ceremony will include job advisory and counselling sessions for corps members across various local government areas. Zonal Inspectors will also oversee the signing and issuance of final clearance letters to outgoing corps members.
“The Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes all corps members and monitoring officers a successful Winding-up and Passing-out Exercise,” the statement added.
The 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 orientation course was held simultaneously across all 37 orientation camps in Nigeria. The three-week programme introduced corps members to paramilitary drills, leadership development, entrepreneurship training under the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, and community integration.
After completing orientation, corps members were posted to their Places of Primary Assignment (PPAs), serving in education, health, agriculture, and other critical sectors.
Through their service, they contributed to community development across the country, implementing projects and supporting essential services in their host communities.
The passing-out ceremony will officially conclude the service year for the batch, marking the transition from training to community service completion.
NYSC continues to emphasise the importance of corps members’ contributions to national development and community engagement during and after the service year.
