North extremely comfortable with Tinubu, says Bwala

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has insisted that the Northern region is pleased with his principal’s performance in office.

Mr Bwala stated this while dismissing claims by a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, asserting that the region was angry with the president.

The former SGF had in a recent interview accused the Tinubu administration of sidelining the North.

But speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s on Wednesday, Mr Bwala said the North ‘is extremely comfortable’ with Tinubu’s government.

“Northern Nigeria is extremely comfortable with the governance approach of Mr President, do you know why? He is solving the problems that are in the long term and the problems in the moment. You can see conscious efforts by the president through various policies,” he said.

When asked if the presidency internalises Nigerians’ complaints about hardship, Mr Bwala said the administration is making strides, he said,“Things are already getting better”.

He clarified that there is a separation between the outcry by Nigerians and the agenda cooked up by opposition politicians.

According to him, opposition parties are being tortured by the results and performance of the president.
