The Nasser International Forum – Sudan Chapter has expressed its strong condemnation and deep outrage over the grave violations and atrocities committed against innocent civilians in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur, following the recent attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The Forum in a statement denounced in the strongest possible terms the deliberate targeting of civilians, hospitals, and humanitarian facilities, which constitutes a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law and human rights principles. These acts represent war crimes that must not go unpunished.
“We call upon the United Nations, the African Union, the League of Arab States, and all international partners to urgently intervene to protect civilians, facilitate humanitarian access, and ensure accountability for those responsible for these heinous crimes,” the Forum said.
Also, the Nasser International Forum reiterated the importance of an immediate ceasefire, the opening of humanitarian corridors, and the protection of displaced persons and vulnerable groups, especially women and children, in line with international humanitarian obligations.
“We affirm our unwavering solidarity with the people of Sudan and urge all national stakeholders to prioritize dialogue over violence, and to work collectively toward a comprehensive, inclusive, and peaceful political solution that restores stability, unity, and dignity to Sudan.
“The Nasser International Forum – Sudan Chapter stands firm with every effort aimed at ending the suffering in Darfur and preserving Sudan’s territorial integrity and social fabric”, the statement concluded.
